Whats the car doing? They're pricey new, mivec & gsr are the same, just pull off the stalks and swap them over. To test them, from left to right on coilpack 3 connectors bridge pin 2 and 3 with a multimeter set to ohms, should provide 1.3 ohms. Try regapping the sparkplugs to .55mm, I use NGK BPR7ES. Mine was going loopy on anything over half throttle for a bit, tried changing coilpacks, was recommended bpr8es and tried that, it was bpr7es @ .55 cured it, no problem since.

Oh, and get signed up to mitsipieces.com, good lads on there for info and parts Thumb Up!

Oh and if it was coilpack issue it'd show up on 2 cylinders since each coilpack does 2 cylinders. Move the coilpack and see does the problem follow it, or swap the stalks and see does the problem follow. Not unknown for the leads to cause trouble either.

Cheers Dave, when you've had a particular car for 3 years and do all your own servicing, trouble-shooting and repairs you learn a bit :D single marque forums are unbeatable for info too, lancerregister Wink
