Video Ideas

Myself and Gav were chatting about doing a video on the way to the midway meet... We are looking for ideas and opinions of what way to go about the video? Post up any ideas or routes we could take with good roads or surroundings?

We really want to make this something on an epic scale. I found this on Youtube recently and it's just such a great video, it's what the car scene is all about

dam i love the lime green civic in that video, i dunno man i reckon a rollin picture on the motor way or somethin wud be cool in a video

That vid from Mimms last year is top notch in fairness Rolling shots and fly-bys would be a good start. I think for the meet itself parking a bit off line and stuff with panned shots would work really well too

Nice vid, yea I like flyby shots like from a bridge over a motorway or like that vid, we could get a few shots of people getting into their cars and heading off, for the start of the video...

Personally I like the idea of showing the day from start to finish, as in leaving the house then traveling there, havin the craig and the banter and then heading back again. May see if I can pick up a go-pro camera so we could put it on one of the cars for the drive up.

I should be able to get a lend of a Go-Pro, my mate has a couple for the motoX

all the ideas mentioned above plus a bit of pre meet stuff we'll all be doing the night and days before meet i.e cleaning waxing polishing checking tire pressure etc,like dirty rags on garage floors, wax products detarrers etc

it will show the effort we all put in to our cars

Great idea pete... gonna see if i can get my bro to come across when im cleaning it the day before and get a video going...

Bumping this up for any ideas or anything in particular people would like to see in this video.

passenger seat view of steering wheel and just inside the car while moving, not really driver just hands and feet while changing gears steering etc, also starting up of cars at night/in sheds ignition lights coming on and HIDs coming on and getting brighter (idea robbed from the nightlife video) but i think it looks deadly in a video

Liking all of them myself Filling up the car at a station at night can look cool too with the right lighting

finish it off by someone closing their bonnet at night (assuming that the meet will stretch to darkness) start it off in someones garage who has automatic doors (if anyone does) and no light on except for the brake lights of the car and the door opening and lighting up the garage/shed and car then rolling out. Ideas are endless but it all take time and a lot of preperation fly-by's always work, get everyone to flash their lights as you pass or everyone driving with hazards on

something like that, its 1 of my favorites

I defo think if we put all our ideas together it will be some video...

Im thinking anyone that has a decent camera that can record videos should start taking some videos of any work or cleaning they do on their cars in the next week or 2.

Then we could get them all to Gav and incorporate them into one big video?? What do people think?

Some serious ideas there alright lads. And would definitely be a video and a half to get all of them in. I like the fact that everyone is in on having a story behind the video. Anyone can go along, film a meet and piece it together but it's always a bit more special when you get to see some background on the individuals and the own individual preparation and love for what they do

This would work well, just need to make sure we all work within the same brackets, video resolution and things like that. It would look off if everyone filmed in different resolutions and it was all pieced together. So who has what gear and what are the capabilities?

Never thought of that Gav... Maybe anyone doing a vid to contact ya first about the camera quality or settings?

Ya that's an idea man. Anyone interested in filming just drop me a pm with the type of camera you'll be using and I can find a happy medium for everyone to use
