East coast classics meet - Arklow - 6th May 2012
Alright all,
Went along to the east coast classics meet last sunday to see if I could get a few shots. Some great cars on the day, I was shocked by the variety of cars on show. Some serious American muscle as wells all the usual old school VWs and Fords. The layout wasn't the best for shooting cars, as usual everything was a bit bunched up and there were a lot of people so it meant biding my time and trying to make the most of what I was given
Highlights on the day had to be the pair of Corvette Stingrays, not very often you get to see one of these, never mind two of them sitting side by side. Not only this but the owners really weren't afraid to drive them, the red and white one with the race livery left on the day by spinning up the rear tires and facing off against a Chevelle SS and a ford Galaxie 500
Only dissapointment was that there just wasn't enough Jap metal, was hoping to see some Zs or something like that.
Even if the old school isn't your thing you just have to admire the amount of love and attention that goes into these cars. The below is just a few of my favorite shots from the day, the full gallery can be found on my Facebook page here...........

Was kicking myself that the bloke below left before I could get chatting to him, Escort Cosworth is in my all time top 3 cars and I'd do anything to shoot one

That's a good idea man, may keep an eye out for the next one and see if they'll let us bring in a few of the older cars for the day.
