Hesitation
Right... So i was happy out yesterday second ball joint fixed and the car was smooth as fkuc driving... Then on the way back from town tonight i noticed it was hesitating when i put the foot down mainly in 2nd and 3rd gear between 2500rpm and 4000rpm then it starts pulling properly again after that... Car is idling grand, not over heating... So im thinking its the usual CL1 issue EGR valve or Dirty fuel injectors... Anyone any ideas?

Re: Hesitation
Would i pick injector cleaner up in halfords Dave? Any type do and does it go straight into the petrol? What do i do with the carb cleaner? Think i might drop down to Ping...

Re: Hesitation
Yeah I get you, but it really could be something simple anyway like carb cleaner or just valve cleaner, I use that stp petrol and valve cleaner the odd time just to keep it kinda clean ish don't know if it makes a difference at all!! But nice to be safe.

Re: Hesitation
It would be worth changing anyway,
Might not be the same but I saw a dc2 lately that stopped pulling for 1000 or 1500 revs and it would go on again after that hesitation.
New fuel filter and no hesitation.
It might not solve your problem but its worth doing IMO.

Ohh yeah that happened my van a few weeks ago, there was dirty fuel going around topaz and it blocked up all our vans fuel filters, but the lost of power was more random.

Re: Hesitation
Sorry for thread hi-jack
Wife's Ek is doin this. But it only seems to happen when the cars a bit warmed up. Feels perfect from stone cold. It does splutter at warm idle too though..
Sound obvious to anyone?
