Re: Model Kit Thread for all those nerds!
marks models dont tend to have a huge selection, they have a spot out in rathcoole aswel.
a great online site is towerhobbies, based in the us an very good prices.
they have everything from rc csrs and panes and choppers, to wooden ships and plastic kits of cars and bikes. all the tools, paints, and batteries etc aswell. huge site.
etamiya is also a good site for tamiya models only.

Re: Model Kit Thread for all those nerds!
use modelling putty, you can get differant types, but a common one would be "green stuff"
it cmes as two strips of putty, one blue an one yello, pull off a bit of eah and mix em together.
more blue makes it darker and dry faster, yellow makes it lighter and maniplatable longer.
ya can get it in gamesworkshop shops. i've used it on making scenery before for other moels.

Re: Model Kit Thread for all those nerds!
Well I got me a new kit yesterday, but this one is a bit different, its a prelude but its ultra rare cos it has bbs wheels so I'm not sure I want to even open it, I mite just keep it up and get a different prelude on to make.
What should I do? Here's a link to the shop I got it on ebay, they have a loads of rare stuff.
http://myworld.ebay.com/v197999v/&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2754
I still have not finished the Acura nsx cos I'm shit at painting stuff, when I sprayed the car it came out like rankle paint what can I do or how will I strip it or fix??
I don't have a pic of the car sprayed but its gloss black.
What am I doing wrong.

Re: Model Kit Thread for all those nerds!
You have to primer the plastic and do VERY LIGHT coats at a time. My brother did a R34 with Tamiya paint and it turned out great. Plus he did it outside in the garden For other bits, enamel paint is the best

If you want to give the effect of wear, this is a short video on 'dry brushing'. Looks good on brake calipers, discs and the underside of your car

Re: Model Kit Thread for all those nerds!
sand them down use primer on all parts also take out of the molds because you will end up with un painted bits when you take them off the molds
