Schumacher in a coma...

anyone hear anything on this? no official statement was made yet but apparently he was out skiing in france and had an accident...   

Seemingly hit his head while skiing has gotten worse since earlier today hope he pulls tthrough was wearing a helmet too according to reports

Seems all kinds of white stuff is bad for us

Watching it on sky news they said there will be no updates till 10 am

Been a big Schumi fan since I was a child, remember watching him with Benetton when I was only 7 and 8. He better be ok!

Thats what sky news said and he had immediate neurological treatment

Just watching CNN, saying it was a medically induced coma. He had a bleed on the brain, was put into the coma on way to the hospital and was immediately operated on.
Hope they're right!

man don't be talking, so many fans around the world and passionate to the last, haven't watched it really since he left    he was offered a place for next year but turned it down

Still never miss a race and it's because of him I got into it.
He'll be ok, if anyone can get through it he can, the man couldnt be any fitter!

I hope you are right man, I have reminders all over the room because of him and the sheer joy and tension and pleasure and proud moments he has given us all over the years, Ferrari plaque over the bed and my leather jacket which most will have seen is from 2004 and commemorates his 7th world title, 13 1:16 scale model Ferraris there as well, then have my Ferrari tattoo on my right arm and a few more bits and bobs.... but yea I hope they are blowing this all out of proportion or something....

Not much better news today unfortunately. The fact that they are so slow to offer any positive outlook shows how serious this is being taken...I'm staying positive, refusing to think about the "what ifs"...

Said in the news there he's in a very serious condition still. He had an operation on his brain, if he wasnt wearing a helmet it would have almost certainly be fatal. Here's hoping he pulls through.

Hopefully all turns out well with the surgery the next 24-48 hours will be crucial!

Niki Lauda, the former Formula One world champion, has told of his "disbelief " over Schumacher's accident.

The former Ferrari great who won three world titles, told the Guardian: "I find it completely shocking and unexplainable why this great driver, who won seven championships in over 300 races and stayed alive, could have something like this happen to him. It's tragic.

"He was the greatest driver of them all, with seven titles."

so still under by the looks of things, the next few hours are critical as to whether he will survive or not, first 12 and then 48 are the most important, everyone is rooting for him at this stage, prayers and hope are a plenty tonight

Such a silly statement. A coma is life threatening no matter what way you put it.

different people heard different things at the start, im not sure that the coma was induced by the surgeons, they sometimes do that to prtect the brain, id be much calmer if I knew it was induced, then at least I know that they are controlling what is going on

there saying the coma was induced He is under general anaesthetic in an induced coma. they did this to remove a blood clot in his brain and are now trying to reduce "dangerous swelling", meaning his condition could go either way

thanks for that Nick, that's what I wanted to hear, its much better than being in a full blown coma, they can take him out of this whenever they see fit   I think we will be seeing him up and about soon, just hope there is no long term damage

well the next 48hrs are crucial he has severe lesion's on his brain so thing can go either way at this stage but fingers crossed he pulls through

yea man its still very bad but I have a better feeling about it now   I am hopeful   please god

well keep an eye on sky ive it on my phone and is giving me the latest updates of whats happening on his condition and what going on
