Re: Schumacher in a coma...
Yes :-) well if they are waiting till lunch time he obviously hasn't passed away, they must have him out of the induced coma... :-/ I hope :-)
Re: Schumacher in a coma...
According to reports his helmet split in two as he was catapulted into a rock some spike on the helmet saved him from worse warm
But has shown small signs of improvement after second operation
Amazing what some reporters will stoop to just to get into see him reports have surfaced about one reporter dressing as a priest to try and gain access to him

Re: Schumacher in a coma...
haven't heard anything today John, so id say he is still in the induced coma, will be on this thread as soon as I hear anything new
Re: Schumacher in a coma...
ive just seen a news report stating that he is stable, but the same report states that they feel no need to hold a press report as there is no change in his condition which makes no sense as in my mind going from critical to stable is a big change.
and just to to add, ive lost all respect for lewis hamilton the inconsiderate little prick.

Posted pics of him out skiing with his family after Schumachers accident.
Dont see the problem with it myself, just something for reporters to use for a bit of controversy.
He also tweeted that his thoughts and prayers are with Schumi and his family, they left that bit out of course

I can see why the media had a field day with that though.

Re: Schumacher in a coma...
Nine days into his coma, positive news is finally emerging from the Michael Schumacher camp.
Multiple authoritative media sources, including major German news agencies and television broadcasters, cited the 45-year-old’s manager Sabine Kehm in reporting that Schumacher’s life is no longer in imminent danger.
“This is a certain relief,” she is quoted by Spain’s El Mundo. “For the family, the situation is calmer.
“This is the start of a long, long period, but thankfully less difficult now.
“The most dangerous moment has passed,” added Kehm.
The SID news agency, and the major German daily Bild, quoted an unnamed source close to the former Ferrari and Mercedes driver as confirming that there was indeed a “slight improvement” in Schumacher’s condition.
Bild said it was a dramatic change from the unofficial news on Friday, when the seven-time world champion “looked as though he had lost the fight for life.”
A brain scan on Friday, the newspaper added, was “catastrophic.”
“His condition is still critical,” Kehm was quoted by Sky Deutschland television. “However, it has stabilized over the weekend. The danger to his life is no longer immediate.”
Italy’s La Gazzetta dello Sport quoted Kehm as saying the family had “heaved a sigh of relief” early this week.
And a doctor treating Schumacher, Jean-Francois Payen, was quoted as saying: “While we emphasize that the danger has not yet passed, it is certainly no longer acute.”
RTL reporter Felix Gorner said: “Sabine Kehm has just told me on the phone that, for the first time, Michael Schumacher is no longer in imminent danger of death.”
An official statement issued by the treating hospital in Grenoble also sounded more positive than earlier bulletins.
It said Schumacher’s “clinical state” is now “stable.” … “However,” the statement added, “the medical team in charge of his care underlines that they continue to consider Michael’s condition as critical.”
Later, Schumacher’s manager Kehm played down those reports that had quoted her as saying her boss’ life is no longer in danger.
“I cannot confirm any expressions that he is no longer in danger,” she said. “I refer you to the statement that was issued by the doctors.”

This is good to hear man, hopefully it's the truth. The family putting the block on the media was definitely for the best, stopped all the bullshit rumors flying round, even if it did make it a bit tougher on the fans.
Hopefully he'll be awake soon, he'd be pissed if he missed the start of the season
